tip one
Go light
Use a light-colored sheet to add depth to photography. Just be sure to adjust your images to compensate for the paper’s existing tint. Or don’t… The results might be fun.
tip two
The magic touchplates
Many presses are built with extra ink units, so you can add more colors. Make specific image areas pop, build density in shadows, get smoother solids or add match select colors for perfect accuracy.
tip three
Start with an opaque slate
Use opaque inks to mask the effects of colored paper showing through translucent inks. A base of opaque white, for example, becomes a blank canvas for 4-color images — and still lets you celebrate the tinted page.
